Marketing Organic Field Crops

 

     Beechwood Agri Services is currently the only full service licensed and bonded organic elevator in the province of Ontario. Custom drying, storage, cleaning and handling with many payment and selling options to suit your marketing strategy are offered. 

 

     Beechwood Agri Services began in 1997, shortly after in 1999 started handling organic crops. The three elevators are fully certified organic, which enables the handling and processing of organic soybeans. On average Beechwood Agri Services has been processing 3000MT of organic soybeans per year, with an increase in demand. At the Nairn facility, once soybeans are recieved and graded, they go through a cleaner system, de-stoner, belt sorter, and colour sorter prior to being put in totes, bags, or bulk containers.

     In recent years, there has been greater organic price discovery and resources available to track prices in the industry. At Beechwood we will now be posting monthly prices  of current bids for organic commodities on our website. Prices are subject to change without notice so it is best to call Andrew St. Jean to market any of your organic crops and to discuss pricing in greater detail. In addition you can also look at market pricing through the USDA bi-weekly organic grains and feed stuffs report as well as Mercaris which has regional organic corn, soybean and wheat pricing.
